I have a Squier Stratocaster, newer model, and please pardon me for posting this at work but I believe it to be a 09' or 10' model. I want to replace the stock tuners with some vintage Fender tuners. Not Squier vintage tuners but Fender vintage tuners and I am wondering if the hole spacing is different? I plan to use a dremel and align and pre drill the back of the headstock once I have all the tuners fit together for the screws, but I am wondering if there is going to be that great a difference between standard Fender and Squire on the center to center hole spacing? I thought about putting on locking tuners but this guitar I am going for a more "Total Vintage" retrofit of what was stock.
