just recently traded some stuff and got what i believe to be a 1984 squier strat, built in korea. if this thing is what it says it is, and is an 84 like the guy told me, and being in great shape like it is, any idea how much it would be worth? i'm not trying to sell on this site, just wanting an idea on value... i have gone all barter kings on this thing, i started with a free old acoustic, and after a couple of other things, have this squier, which i have no money in. want to sell (hoping for around 150) to help pay for one of those new squier jaguars.... any help would be appreciated.

I don't think the year is corect at all. The Squier emblem is completely off for that time period. It looks much newer. Maybe 2004.

that would be slightly disappointing, but only because i'd been lied to. regardless, this thing plays really well and i'm finding it harder every day to get rid of it... if it is that new it's been made to look slightly aged. string trees are a little rusty, knobs have plenty of funk in the grooves...hmmmm..... SN is NK417791... printed on the neckplate. i can't find any info on this sn.... any help is appreciated. :?

What you have is a Korean made Bullet from 1994. The body is laminate rather than solid wood. If you'll take the backplate off, you should be able to see the layers (looks like plywood and often called plywood but it's not). You can probably sell it for around $100, but you never know.

Google. I read a lot of different forums, plus, i own a 80s E series Korean strat , once owned a 90s Korean strat, and know a little about them. Did you look to see if it was laminate ?

you called it, i scratched a little paint off of the inside cavity and i can definitely see the layers. i've got a buyer for 100 bucks. was holding out for more, but since you let me know what i really have, i'm letting it go to him while he's still interested. thanks for the info, jack.
