I have three candy apple red guitars, a Jaguar, a Toronado, and I just bought a Squire Cyclone. I had all three out the other day admiring them. What a wonderful little guitar the Cyclone is, just as nice as the other two. Then I noticed the Squire name on the headstock, and thought to myself, am I a name snob for thinking the less of it because it has a Squire decal, and cost $200? Fender could have more than doubled the price and put the Fender name on it and it and few would say it's an inferior model Fender.

My Squier goes to the same gigs as my Gretsch White Falcon and sometimes
plays as many sets. I like the reaction it gets from the other musicians in the crowd.
I did replace PG, Bridge, Tuners, PUs to 2 Retrotrons & new electrics but it's still the
orig. neck & body, which are sweet!
The orig. electrics & PUs weren't all that great but I picked this guitar out
from others based on it's feel.
and that headstock proudly says, Squier Strat.
