Hi has anyone ever heard of Pforce custom guitars of Minnesota. I searched and cant find any info anywhere. I emailed them and asked for brochure pricelist or pdf. still have not heard back. It appears to be selling rebranded affinity Squiers not positive though, with pforce logo on headstock.http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/m ... 28258.html

What makes you think they're Affinities, or any other Squier for that matter?

the guy may be working from home, and has now started building guitars from scratch, its easy enough to buy a cheap chineses made neck and put you own waterslide decal on it.

I know this is an old thread but I was to make sure people know about this guy before they waste their money!

I was interested in one of the affinities that he was offering and decided, based on his sample guitars he had there, that I would have him set up a guitar I bought about a year previously that had never been done and purchase a new affinity he had with his "setup" he does on those.

Well... My SG ended up with the action all screwed up with the low E side almost 2mm higher than the high side. 2 saddles stripped out. Nut was cut extremely uneven with only one string even coming close to being deep enough. Claimed the bridge was too far forward and couldn't get the intonation perfect though made ZERO effort to actually turn any of the saddles around to gain the extra length needed. Tuners were loose. Pickup height wasn't adjusted. And the frets weren't even cleaned up on it. $45 to him and then $88 to a real luthier to fix all the problems he left me with.

Affinity... His level job on the frets took then so low they can not be dressed again. Several are seriously flattened. None of the file marks were polished out. Intonation is off. Nut wasn't touched. Pickups weren't touched. Tremolo lifts on singly string bends with 8's on the thing(I asked for 9s). And the action is a mile high(probably due to buzzing 8's). $245 to him for the guitar and work. It was bought as new and he claimed to be a dealer but I have no warranty information and doubt it is still covered at this point. $65 to a real luthier to fix all these problems. That puts me $300 into an affinity!

I guess the one thing I can say about all this is I got an education and sure won't be duped again. I checked multiple references and did my homework on the new place.

This joker claims he is building guitars from scratch yet he is obviously collecting cheap chinese parts and cobbling them together and selling them for massive markups. He claims to have 30 years of experience but when you go there(this should have sent me running but hindsight is 20/20) his workbench is a cheap folding table from walmart in his living room... There is no work waiting for attention or anything. The guitars on the rack that he said he built himself are gorgeous... Mine sure didn't turn out anything like that...

His info is below to make it easier for others to find this info.
