Nice green small metal flake finish! I also love the big 70s head stocks!

A Squier Strat MIJ with locking tuners! Very good looking cool Strat! I dig the locking tuners on my MIA V-neck Deluxe Strat.

Mine aren't locking, they just say Fender Japan on the backside of them.

I have posted on this thread before, but the pictures were rubbish and i only had one then.

I've got three Squiers in my collection (the whole thing is up in the lounge forum), all of which are of the Affinity series, which led me to call them the 'Affinity Trinity', pretty smart huh (right...)
Image

The first of which, and my very first guitar, is "Jeremy", so named by my dad in an off the cuff remark that stuck. It's a Chinese model from the early 2000s and it's been modded. The bridge pickup is allegedly an Ibanez, but it has no markings so i don't know what it actually is, the middle is a single from a Fender Strat and the neck is from an Epiphone of some description, all eBay sourced. The pickguard is made from card, about 1.2mm and coloured in with highlighter. This is always found in Drop Db.

I'm not the Stig!!! And that's black marker binding there

Up next is "Vandal", named after the black strat used by Kurt Cobain known as the 'Vandalism Strat' which has a very similar appearance to this one. It's an Indonesian guitar from 2007 and is left as is, except for the black plastics replacing the white items. This is kept in Drop D at all times and the tone knobs never move as they are set up for three different sounds.

Finally we come to "Javier", sharing it's name with Javier Galvez from HOTR, a band which plays in Drop A, which this guitar is often used in, occaisonally tuning up to C# standard. This is also a Chinese one from the early 2000s and the previous owner bashed it about, changed the tone pots to one master tone and a kill switch, which is why it cost me £33 and didn't really work at first. The pickup in the bridge was taken from my Westfield LP copy and is really throaty and suits the custom gauge strings well.

Couldn't ask for more from these budget beasts, love them as much as anything.

83-84 MIJ SQ Series Squire Strat. I bought it used in 1985. Pretty much an exact copy of the mid 70's three bolt CBS Strats.

83-84 MIJ SQ Series Squire Strat Headstock. Notice the Bullet truss rod end.

One of the best thing about this guitar - flames in the neck

Next up is my MIK Squire Stratocaster Pro Tone from around 1995.
