Fender friends!
I'm sure you've seen the Fender Blacktop Tele HH, right? Have you ever noticed how the control plate is "reversed"? I mean, the pickup selector switch is actually on the opposite side of the control plate (you may wanna have a closer look now: http://www.fender.com/products/blacktop ... dNo=014820). Notice also the skirted amp knobs used.

So my question is this: will you be able to fit those skirted amp knobs into a Squier Standard Tele? I always wanted to replace mine with those. The reason I mentioned the "reverse" control plate is that, the Standard Tele does not have this; and I was wondering if maybe this affected the fact that the skirted knobs fit (there's a screw in close proximity to the volume knob on the "non-reversed" control plate).

Sorry if you ever find my English to be...well, incoherent. This is not my native language. hehe. Cheers!

In my opinion these knobs will fit on your two potentiometer shaft IF these knobs have a screw to hold them on the shaft like on vintage Blackface amp.

If your Squier have asian imported potentiometers the diameters are not the same as American made guitar . That is why you need knob with screw. Anyway whit screw, know will fit on ANY shaft

Blacktop guitar is an American made ?

What kind of screws are you talking about?
And maybe this info will help, but my Squier is Indonesian-made. I'm not quite sure if these Indonesian Standard Teles have this "screw" which you are talking about.
Nonetheless, thank you for your response.

Oh and by the way, I think Blacktops are either American or Mexican made. I'm not quite sure about it, though.

Screw are on all Blackface ( real vintage) amp . These original knob are the first used in the telecaster knob modification , by Bo Didley , not sure if is the right name .

I understand , with your answer those new replica knob don't ave any set screw and your knob are press fit.

Just find original blackface amp knob and I'sure they 'll fit on your tele potentiometer shaft.
I think tubesandmore.com have some. But they are easy to find. Some Fender dealer ssell original knob with screw

I'll go do research on this Blackface vintage amp. Oh, and thanks so much for the background information!
I'm planning to make my cherry-red Standard Tele look like a Blacktop: I'll replace the pickguard to black, and change the knobs to these.
