Wow, that was great! And you didn't need a MIA Strat to do it! Yep, I went there. Beware the Strat snobs!!!
Seriously, awesome playing!

no doubt my friend.if your like me,you KNOW these STRAT SNOBS have no idea, when talking about affinity series guitar.what year was yours made?where does it say CRAFTED IN?i have a 1998 affinity strat, with no mods.put a strap lock on her,and change the strings on a regular basis.in my estimation the single coil pups, are the cats $@!.i can never get enough of this sound.BTW,some people mod out their squiers, and either get a new neck with the fender decal,or they get one from fender.i'll never take the squier off the headstock.i'm an experienced player and i gig with a group of guys that are quality guitarist.a few session players, but more along the lines of a group of guys who are just good players.i KEEP the squier label so when they see my headstock, they ASSUME that my axe is junk....until they play her.

THANK YOU!!! MY POINT EXACTLY!!!
I made a comment in another thread that SOME strat snobs act like US made guitars come with the awesome playing installed. At the rate the OP is going Fender will be paying him to play their guitars.

i too play a squier affinity strat. i bought a used one yesterday ($70) i had one before but wasn't playing it much so i sold it. it is a great guitar! now i just need an amp and some pedals. in the meantime i am just playing on my accoustic and re learning a bunch of stuff i forgot about music theory. i have a tenor uke too and i can play piano a little bit. now if i can figure out the drums and the bass i won't need a band

I do too. Mine too was a $70 pawn shop rescue project. I replaced some missing parts, a bridge piece, a wammy bar and installed a new set of strings, set it up to the specs from this website. It's a 2004 Cort (IC) Indonesan. It is really in great shape with only light use.
I have a 56' Epi Gold Top too.
But I must say the Strat is very expressive! I can get all kinds of tones through my Mustang III.
I bought the Strat to do mods, paint ect. But I'm not changing a thing. It's lots of fun.
Back "In the day" I had a Telecaster with Gibson HB's, a real pawn shop special that was fun, but this thing is a great find.
