Has anyone replaced the standard tuners with locking tuners and if so what did you use? I have found that the Fender Deluxe Locking Tuners that I put in my American Standard Tele do not quite fit. The two pegs in the back of the tuner that press into the back of the headstock do not line up with the holes already present from the pegs on the existing tuners.

I am not very handy and do not have much for tools so I am ideally looking for a drop in replacement. A little minor drilling is ok.

Also has anyone ordered the Warmoth pearloid pick guard for these? If so, did the screw holes all line up?

Any insight or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I used these on my Squier BSB Affinity Tele. They fit and work great.

Looks good. Did your original tuners have the two pegs on the back that pressed into the back of the headstock? Also, did the tuners come with a template to guide in the drilling of the holes for the screws?

Thanks,

Affinity tuners only had one peg.

I just lined them up, tighened down the ferrule nut enough to hold them in place and drove the screw in. Didn't bother drilling anything.

Thanks Bill...they look pretty decent and have gotten good reviews from others as well. I think I will give them a try.
