Came in a couple days ago. Only $119 with no tax and free two-day shipping from Amazon. I got the Fiesta Red model with the classic 3-single-coil pickup config. I love the way this thing looks and feels... I was compelled to get this axe from various text and video reviews I read and watched, and I'm glad I did the research because it really is a nice guitar.

Granted, the only accessory it came with was the trem arm, which I currently have no use for but will keep (no use in throwing away working parts!). I have no amp though, and would like some recommendations on something a beginner like me could use to practice and jam out with in my bedroom. Also if anyone has recommendations on any other useful equipment like straps, picks, stands, etc., feel free to list them for me! :D

For bedroom playing and practice, the Mustang 1 or 2 amps would seem like a very good match for your new Squier strat, with heaps of fun tone options to experiment with, as long as you don't distract yourself from the basic process of learning to play !

Also, the Mustang 2 has enough oomph to play a small gig, and of course both amps could be miced for bigger live venues and louder bandmates ! I know you may not be at that stage yet, but no harm in a bit of thinking ahead !

I just picked up a pale pink Bullet. I can't get the low E to quit vibrating but it's a good playing guitar.

I just started playing with the tremolo a few months ago, after playing for 20 years. My '50s Classic has a really good tremolo system and is actually kind of fun as long as you don't overdo it.

How would an Affinity Tele be through a Mustang I? What about a CVC?

i have a vox pathfinder 15r, classic vox tones in a little box, just brilliant, i used to have a line6 spider 15, again brilliant but got fed up with having to stop playing to change effects so have gone for pedals instead.

modelling amps are awesome btu as said before you can spend too much time trying to find a tone rather that actually learning to play, my opinion is to keep it simple for now get a 2 channel combi amp when you are ready to start playing with tone get some cheap pedals
