I have had to kind of snicker at this. I have a hard time imagining an Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, or Jeff Beck Squire Signature model! So when you have various grades of guitar, such as the Squire, Made in Mexico, USA Signature Series or Custom Shop, you can rate how "great" you are by what series you end up having your name on???? not that the quality of a Squire has come up over the years, but the idea of what a Squire represents. What are your thoughts on that????

...like mine?

Not a real signature but a tribute without the active circuit.

It's a MIJ Silver Strat modded with Gold Lace Sensors and white plastic parts. Features an American 2-point pivot, Schaller locking strap buttons, a modern American string guide, 21 medium-jumbo frets and Gotoh die-cast staggered tuners.

The electronics are wired like a standard Strat (5-way switch, master volume, tone [neck], tone [middle]). No active mid-boost/TBX pots.

Has anyone actually seen the new Avril Lavigne with the skull or the checkered one for that matter? I was just wondering how they played. I have smaller hands so seeing a guitar made for a gal makes me interested in it. I know it's not a 'high end guitar', but it might be something I 'd like to play around with for kicks and mod it without fear.

I'm usually more of an Am. Std. or Dlx. kinda of guy, but I really like those Surf Guitars, especially those lipstick pickups. Fender should have those available for sale separately. Would love to hear how those sound. Of course I could just get these and put 'em in another Strat:

Would cost about the same as a Surf guitar though.

The black Avril Telecaster is nice. Wish the sound wasn't so spongey (due to its basswood body).
