if you want to be picky about the neck you could buy a cv, swap the neck to one of your liking and still have change for a good night out :D. have you actually picked a CV up to play it or does the neck bother you that much that you dont want to?

well, slight problem in that the A and bottom E strings have a buzzing going on, I don't want to have the hassle of returning it, should have been better set up imo, not sure if it still needs to 'bed in' or if it's actually a fault of QC. Could just get it set up by a tech, not sure what to do. Could play it a couple of weeks more, see if anything changes.

i'd let it bed in, do a setup on it. personally i think returning it just because it has fretbuzz is daft unless it is completely unrepairable, its a simple process to do yourself. As far as from the box setup goes you will hardly ever get a guitar fresh from the box that wont need a bit of fiddling with, to me thats just par for the course, unless of course you spefically asked for a setup to be done most dealers will just pick up the box and put it on the couriers van

Yeah ok thanks for the advice. It's my first purchase of a commercial brand guitar would you believe, been playing quite a while on a left handed iceman which was a bespoke guitar you see.

Part of me thinks maybe i should have gone into a store and tried one out, which i did do and compared to a '52AVRI, but didn't buy one that way, but mail order promised a lower price and money back 30 day guarantee from a large well known german retailer you see.

OK so I shall give it some time and see what happens, thanks for the advice again :)

but its new and you want to play it haha, you can't leave it be its too tempting. You were spoilt with a custom built guitar :) I always put new strings and setup my guitars even if they are new, suppose thats just the way i am, then if theres a problem i can start to look into things further

I've played them Never been a fan of the "modern C'' neck, which most Fender guitars are infected with.

I just recently purchased a used Squire Infinnity Series Strat in great condition, for a first guitar.
I have posted at another catagory, but just found this catagory.
I had a few questions about my guitar. Very helpfull replies.
I do want to personalize it some, gold colored tremolo arm, ect.
Mine is made in Indonesia. I also found a PDF file here on all Fenders to get some info- like when mine was made.
I am taking lessons on the internet. I found a great site where a lady is teaching on video.
My first day of playing a few days ago was a mess. My second day was alot better.
I don't want to give it up. I already broke my first string, (hammering it too hard) and I am searching this site some, and seeing there is alot to fixing up a guitar like proper alignment and such. I am keeping my first broke string. Weird...?
My guitar is black and white. Color of my Harley I had to sell. Even though it is a cheap price guitar, I just love it!
If I get good enough I will then upgrade to a better one, but I will always keep this one as my first guitar. I don't want to give it up. If i get good enough I will then upgrade to a better one, but I will always keep this one as my first guitar. I heard a Squire classic 60's vibe on youTube. Sounded great and for a $600- price new.
Oh, I'm 57 years old. Your never too old to learn and play.
Love my 70's rock. Rock on!

QUESTION: I need to get strings. Will those Fender bullets fit my Infinity Series guitar and work well??

Any strings will fit your affinity. If you purchased it new it came with .009 gauge strings as standard I would suggest sticking with that gauge for now, Ernie ball, daddario, Dunlop and ghs are some of the most popular makes

they should be just fine, i always reset the intonaion when i renew strings too.

Heres a couple of how to guides for setting up a strat, one is from fender website, the other is more indepth its can be a lengthy process to start with but its well worth doing in my opinion.
