I have a Squire with two knobs one tone and one volume. The wires going to the knobs are busted. I am trying to find the proper wiring for it. I found several Strats but they have three knobs. Not sure of the model had it since 1986 made in Japan no visible model number just serial number. Can anyone help

It should be athe same one less pot and the pot is just a tone pot. So on the vol pot on the bottom you have three lugs left to right looking on the bottom 1 is + input lug two is + output and three is grounded to the pot and on the tone pot 1 is untouched lug two is where the capacitor and lug three is the + positve and make sure you solder you ground to the back of the pot. Look on google you can find ton of diagrams like on Stewmac or Seymour duncan or Dimarzios site
