Post subject: How to take knobs off?

I think eventually I'd like to get a differennt faceplate for my Squier but I don't know how I should take the tone knobs off. Do you just pull them off?

Yep. The easiest way I know of is to take two spoons and slide them under the knob, then gently pry them up.

Under the knob, of course, you'll find the hex nut that holds the pot onto the pickguard.
