I'll be picking one of these up this afternoon in Lake Placid Blue. The bridge pick-up is a Seymour Duncan Li'l Screamin' Demon SLSD-1 (George Lynch). The middle and neck pups are Seymour Duncan Alnico II's. Controls are one volume/one tone. All electronics (switches, pots, wiring) have been professionally upgraded. Included is a hardshell Tweed Guitar case. I'm only paying $150, so just with the mods and the case, I've gotten my money's worth. Just curious what some of you may know about this guitar. All of the hardware is fender stamped......and yes, it is plywood which is the one thing that really bothers me about this guitar. The neck is maple with a maple fretboard and it's supposed to be the best thing about the guitar. Any comments would be appreciated. I'm still worried about tone and wether the plywood sucks it right out.

I have one too...paid $100 for mine....Vintage White Rosewood Fretboard.....I use the guitar for about 20% of my guitar work (I play Tele's and Jazzmasters) I love my Strat. sounds good...plays great. I couldn't tell if mine was a ply body or not. and it is in very nice but well played condition
