That's the way it starts...one thing leads to another and before you know it you're spending your weekends in guitar stores and buying another guitar or another amp or...

Have fun! Sounds like you are...

Hi and Welcome.
Did you buy a stop dreaming start playing pak, "guitar and amp combo set" or did you get them seperate? What model amp is it. The 15G is a 2 channel amp with a normal and drive select button with volume controls for each the gain control the amount of overdrive "distortion" A Clean sound would be set at the lowest setting of gain on the normal channel, as for the tone control start at 5 on each and play around The Gain should have an effect on both normal and drive but should be more drastic on the drive channel. The 15g is only available in the the player pak so I assume you have an Affinity Series Strat not a Standard. Big Difference The Fret work is much better on most standards. There are some very nice Squire's available that rival mexican Strats. And are much cheaper. I would look at the Deluxe, Vintage Modified, and Classic Vibe models before you settle for anything else. You may save enough money to upgrade your amp. Fender Mustangs and G-dec's are Great. It dosen't have to be a FENDER to be a good axe

Sure did get the starter pack. I have actually looked at other amps. The ones i looked at are way out of my price range, :(
Got my third lesson tonight, been away to Spain for two weeks holidays, Rarin to get into the guitar practice again.

While i was in Los Balcones i went into this bar, my nieces husband told me about a set of drums and a couple of guitars. I went in and saw the guy who owned the place.
He showed me his guitar, A Fender Telecaster from the middle 60s, priced around 15k.
He took it out and started to play, what a sound, he played some excellent blues licks, had my feet tapping. We chatted for an hour or so.He seemed a real good player, been around the block playing in all manner of bands, they say, sex, drugs and rock and roll, this fella seemed to have done it all, LoL 8) 8)

Also on show was some Fender Bass and other fenders, great fella who seemes very knowledgable about Fender Guitars 8)
