Lemme see if I got this straight... 100% of the Squiers I purchased were defective in one way or another.

Acknowledged, you purchased them they werent right. Did you return them for repair or refund? If not why not?

I've shared this experience to help compare Squier v Fender

actually i disagree you told everyone that all squiers are unplayable, thats not a true comparison is it, thats just an opinion based on your expeiences.

Quote:
and trolls have attacked my posts repeatedly

trolling was described in an earlier post, we argued that your findings were incorrect as we had played squiers that were playable straight from the box because we had made sure that was the case before buying them, thus disproving your theory.

ignoring the truths I've experienced!

I acknowledged your experience as bad luck, i just chose to ignore your lies.

Quote:
ummm...I simply calls um as I sees um.

Thats not strictly true.

The only things I want to see and read are truth and quality -- everything else is a waste of time!

i agree whole heartedly, i just havent seen it in anything you have said.

There are vids of people with good technique playing crappy guitars.

at last you admit that squiers are playable, crappy (not my words) or not, because even a good player cant play the unplayable.

Tsk tsk.

No, that's not what I said!

This is a pretty good example of Fender forum users ignoring the truth by "reading" and "seeing" what they want to read and see!

I said:

"There are vids of people with good technique playing crappy guitars.", which means...though they are playing well (good technique), you can still hear the inferior sound of the Squier (crappy guitar)!

So, tsk tsk on you!

What would be really, really helpful here is if Fender chimes in to give us the specific details on the differences -- then there won't be any more arguments.

Even if I do an extensive post with pictures, there will still be arguments and that's a complete waste of time for me!

So then, Fender, would you kindly provide us with the specific differences between Squier products and sub $1,000.00 Fender USA guitars?

I vote to compare a Squier CV 50 with a Highway One Strat!

Thank you Fender!

read all of the thread back, i believe i did this exact comparison straight from the fender website didnt i, so its already there, get a grip man.

and why would fender get involved you are doing a fantastic job "promoting" squiers in this thread when you post something bad at least 2 or more people are replying saying you are wrong and that their experience with squier has been nothing but a joy, so keep up the good work

so not really a lot of difference there is there? the pickups are both alnico 3, CV has vintage tone, HWY has hot s/c's, doesnt even mention the grade of wood used in the body, that is all copied and pasted straight from the fender website, its there for everyone to see, oh and if you were to check you can do your own comparison there too, just click the compare button on 2 or more guitars and voila.......

For the money i will stick to the CV 50's thanks, its a very similar, therefore very comparable guitar to the highway, in every way there's no doubt.

now is there anything else i can help you with today, or are you going to go and hide under you bridge little troll.

However, it's important people who come here get all sides of the Fender v. Squier story.

Indeed, they will see pro players using squiers, many reviews by respected time served musicians who are very impressed by the quality and playability of the higher end models. They will also see one guy make sweeping and incorrect statements who ended up trying to back pedal...................then poooof, he went away for a while

Quote:
I guess we're at the ridicule stage of the truth here!

Sense has failed across 2 large threads so maybe.

Quote:
he good thing is; there's already enough info in this thread for people to use to make an intelligible decision about purchasing a Fender v. Squier... Hand's down, a Hwy 1 strat or tele is a superior value compared to any Squier strat or tele!

No it actually shows the hwy1 to be slightly disingenuous in it's specs not to mention around £400 more.

Quote:
For the amount of money it takes to disappointingly upgrade a Squier,

Proved wrong across 2 large threads now. Repetition doesn't alter this, kid.

Quote:
Smart people can read right through the bull-duty statements about me being a troll!

No they will see you make silly statements and then trying to back pedal after being proved wrong.

Quote:
hen I have time to do the photo post, which will be extensive, I will pretty much enshrine the facts that a used Fender USA guitar is always a superior value to a new and then upgraded Squier!

Not always. A high end squier may not need any upgrades either. Again this has been proved.

Quote:
And in many cases...it's worth starving for a few months to afford a new USA strat altogether.

Why didn't you do that ?

Quote:
Again, I spent 2-years exploring Squiers finding one disappointment after the next!

Must have been a conspiracy to send all the lemons your way, son. professional players reviewing them aren't finding a negative.

Quote:
I'm just reporting back to the community my experiences.

Nope, you said "all squiers were totally unplayable regardless of mods". That doesn't sound like "YOUR EXPERIENCES" at all does it ? It's so lucky that I'm here to remember your words because your memory is very selective

Quote:
And yes, I have a high IQ, *I am* a genius. At least you got something right here!

Please, stop hiding this.

Quote:
Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me!

So it was 3 Squiers, then 5 squiers..........now it's 2 Squiers ?

Quote:
ummm...I simply calls um as I sees um.

Clearly not, you would have had to play every squier in order to support your statements. Silly boy

Quote:
Hwy 1 ='s truth and quality.

A USA stamped MIM with upgraded electronics. The upgraded electronics are not worth the £3/400 price difference. Poor value for money imo.

Quote:
What would be really, really helpful here is if Fender chimes in to give us the specific details on the differences -- then there won't be any more arguments.

Actually it would be meaningless if you wanted to back up your statement that "all squiers are totally unplayable regardless of upgrades".

Quote:

It would be of interest, no more. It certainly won't prove your point.

Quote:

How will this show squier guitars are unplayable ?

Quote:
I vote to compare a Squier CV 50 with a Highway One Strat!

Sure, I'll start. CV 60's £250 - Hwy1 ££6/700
