I have had the RB3 Squier for a number of months now :P , as I am a vocalist and kybd player, but have played (around) with acoustic/electric guitars for years.

Issue(s):
Housing (Midi Connect) Loose from Mounting Plate on Guitar: the Midi plug in housing became disengaged from the mounting (internally to the guitar, where the midi cable connects to the guitar, that interface came loose from the mounting and would slide up and down inside the guitar). Thus, intermittent midi working ability and difficulty making connection/disconnect from Mad Katz controller/other Midi devices/interfaces thru standard midi cable (which I bought a new one immediately, plus use Avid MobilePre and Tascam MkIV midi devices for recording and mixing in non-RB3 situations).

Wiring Disconnected from Midi Interface :evil: (Female plug module that connects to external midi cable/device/ps3 etc.): When I opened the interface (4 screws), I then saw that the wires (3 wires, 2 white and 1 red) had become disconnected from the midi plug interface (easy solder job looks like).

Wiring Scheme Needed: I don't know which midi "posts" or "terminals" that each respective wire should be soldered to, and cannot find any online information detailing the wiring scheme. The product is under warranty (1 yr), but I am playing hell finding the original receipt and can only produce the credit card/debit card/bank transaction where I bought it at Best Buy.

Repair Locally (The Guitar Center: Houston, TX on Westheimer Road): I do a lot of business with this outfit (which is about largest of its kind in Houston area); and asked the repair guy to fix, he soldered the wires (which I had guessed on their termination location on the 5 prong "rear" of the female midi module). And.... seems I guessed wrong on which terminals should get which of the 3 wires soldered to it. I sure as hell hope to have not voided the warranty, as I was sure that this huge store would be an authorized Fender repair station, but don't think so (unsure).

Help Needed: I have screwed :oops: around trying to get this damn thing put back together and none of the local repair guys have a frickin' clue on how to fix this midi device, when in practice it looks to be a simple solder repair job, but none of the shops have even seen one of these creatures.

Can anybody tell me which terminal should get which wire attached?

Can I buy the individual midi wire/module assembly from Fender?

Will Fender help me to get this repaired, or cover it under warranty (using my bank transaction as proof of purchase)?

Is there a wiring scheme available that I can follow if I repair the item? :mrgreen:
Thanks in advance for your help.
