new here.........how hard/easy is it to change necks on a squire strat? there is a strat in a pawn shop that has cracks on body where the neck bolts on. the neck is maple which is my favorite. i would like to swap it to my guitar that has a rosewood neck.

I've swaped several necks around and they have always fit just fine.

Measure the neck at the pocket (body) against yours before buying. It may require sanding with a small block of wood to get it to fit (not too loose or too tight) Then there are issues like neck hight and aligning it to the trem (use a straight edge to make sure the neck is in straight).

If you leave it on the body it has it might be easier to just repair the body or get another. Then you will have two guitars. :)
