I sold a mini squier guitar to someone and shipped it. When it arrived the guy said that the nut where the cord goes into the guitar is missing. I need someone who can tell me what this picture shows as well as what it would take to fix it. When I shipped the guitar, it was working fine with no problems. But as soon as it arrives the buyer claims that this part is missing. I cant tell if it was removed, or broken off. I need the advice of someone who knows guitars, especially this brand.

Sometimes, the nut that holds the jack socket in place can come loose. If you are not someone who knows much about guitars you won't check it.

ALl that has happened is the wee bolt has come off and the socket has disappeared into the cavity. Requires a screwdriver to take the plate off where you will find the socket and buy a nut/bolt(Ican never remember which end is which..... ) from any guitar store and rethread the thing on.

Simples........

So Im guessing its not a huge expensive procedure? Can the nut/bolt be purchased? The person claimed he took it to a repair shop and the repair man didnt have the part. I dont want to have to refund the persons money for a small part if it can be repaired for a few dollars.

The part should cost no more than a couple of pounds, if even that, and if the store that the guy took it to said they don't have it.......................well I can't type that kind of language on here.....................

The job would take about thirty seconds and less than a couple of quid.............

Tht's what you are looking for and that's the price for three..................

Awsome, thanks so much for the help! I'm going to let him know. Its should be able to be fixed without having to file an insurance claim with the USPS. Thanks again!
