HELP,
I JUST PURCHASED A 2007 VINTAGE STRAT 1957,
SERIAL NUMBER ON NECK PLATE V171***,
MADE IN U.S.A.
MADE IN USA STICKER ON PICK GUARD.
NO SERIAL NUMBER ON THE MAPLE NECK??
IS THIS NORMAL?

You posted this in the wrong forum, but I can answer your question. American Vintage Reissues don't have the serial on the maple neck, but on the Neck plate. The serials start with V just like yours, so so far everything sounds legit. Original strats from 1954-1976 had the Serial number on the neck plate, so the reissues of those eras follow that some convention as well.
