Oops, it was the Custom: VM Tele Custom.

Mistakenly called it Deluxe.

Don't appreciate being called a liar.

Ok.. first off sorry about the accusation. When I wrote it I intended it to be light hearted. But I had to reword my post and the slight humor was lost in the rewording. I was implying that the guitar was so nice it was worth fibbing about , I wasn't trying to call anyone anything. Secondly..... I use other forums and some of them have advanced features like ignore which I believe would allow a forum user to ignore posts made by someone that the user doesn't agree with. If Fender had this feature you could have easily put me on the ignore list and never heard from me again. That would be a nice feature since we get so many juevies here.

The Custom is a nice guitar.... congratulations.

You may be able to find some at a local store if you're lucky, but I was mainly referring to online retailers like Musicians Friend who have not had Squier Standard Telecasters in stock for months now...

No they are not, at least when I looked:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=510470

Pick any of the color options and you get a date as to when they are supposed to be in stock. But I am not worried about it. Someone just unearthed this 5 month old thread, but then again, thats pretty much how long most online places have been out of the Squier Standard Telecaasters.

Well at least you don't have long to wait... one said on the 22nd of this month they'll get some. Have you tried going to a music store and ordering one? My local GC want me to order stuff online which is not to my taste however Georges gets stuff every week and it take 7 to 10 days to get most things. Try that. I'm sure there's one out there.

I've been able to get my Squier and Telecaster jones taken care of since I first posted this thread back in February, but initially when I first posted this thread it was because there was some internet rumor about Squier Standard Teles being discontinued, then every merchant had them out of stock. So I started this thread in February when these things started happening, and when I was about to be looking to get a few more Teles, but then in April MF got some, and I got one, so I wasn't worried about it any more. Then this thread just seemed to reappear recently...which gets us to now...

Ok bowl I know you got your fix but I have two questions for you. 1) did you try absolutely every e-tailer on the web to find your guitar? and 2) why didn't you go to www.theperfectguitar.com and order from them? They have helpfull representatives that could've hooked you up. Check 'em out. You could get another one tonight! They are in stock and ready to ship.
On a more serious note... did you try to contact consumer relations at Fender/Squier to find out who all sells their guitars? There is a chance that they maybe could've given you a list that would've included small shops in small towns that carry a multitude of things (like a general store)....well you get the drift. Anyways I'm glad you got fixed. Let me ask you what do you think of the Classic Vibe Tele? I like it but don't know if it's worth it except maybe from GC on Black Friday.

I cannot remember every website that I checked because this was months ago, and I have since gotten several Telecasters since I started the thread back in February, so its not an issue for me anymore.

As far as the Classic Vibes, haven't had a chance to play any of them yet, but everything I hear and see about it is good.

They do have an ignore list, it's called foe. Just sayin.....

Anyways, mf told me that they were restocking them because they are in high demand....
