I was wondering if anyone on here could give me a bit of information about my "A" serial number '85 Squier Strat. What kind of wood is it most likely made of, what wood would the neck be, what kind of a finish is on the neck?

Any info from someone with a bit of knowledge of the '85 Strat with an "A" serial number would be greatly appreciated.

Most necks are made of maple and the finishes vary by year and popularity.

Your going to have to research google or wikipedia. No one knows specifics on models here except maybe customer care if they answer. I think Fender needs to do an online book on thier guitar models and numbers. Wikipedia should have your serial number breakdown by factory.

Good luck and enjoy,
