No clue try google. But keep you eyes pealed on the forum because Brad is shooting out some messages on Facebook about new models. He says there is a forum on Pawn Shop mustangs. There is also a signature bass. There was another line of guitars but I didn't pay much attention. I can't really afford anything fancy.

Seems like Squier's looking to achieve international awareness by offering exclusive products to certain regions, such as this one. Smart thinking in my opinion.

Not for nothing...but has anyone noticed that one of the "new" Fender Pawnshop Series guitars looks amazingly similar to the Squier '51?....(HALLELUJAH!....Thank You GOD!!!!) I'm thinking I might have to get one...because you can't find the "original" Squiers anymore...as for this new stuff coming out...I'm all psyched about that too!....(You can NEVER have too many Squiers!...LoL!) I wonder what it would take for Squier to come out with their own amplifier line?...(And not the cheesy stuff!...but REAL honest-to-goodness, you-can-take-it-to-the-studio-and-not-get-laughed-at, tube & solid state model AMPLIFIERS!....Wishful thinking I guess huh?...

I think it would be pretty rad for Squier to toss out a 15 or 30 watt tube combo, with a comparable solid state/tube hybrid type thing VOX has going on. Maybe a 15 watt with 1 volume, and 1 tone control.

Heck yeah!....they could even go so far as to come out with their own "boutique" line...and do the "lunchbox" head amplifier like so many other companies are doing...(VOX Night Train.....Mesa Boogie Trans Atlantic......Jet City Amps JCA 20H) I'd be like the "poster child" for them......from T-shirts.....to amps....

I've got a Vox Valvetronics AD30 tube preamp combo amp with onboard effects courtesy of Korg which I purchased from Best Buy for $150. It sounds incredible against anything on the market at higher prices. I don't see why Fender can't offer the same or better. I won't get into Fender amp specifics but Squire should be able to offer the same as Vox or better under the Squier name. I've heard good stuff about the new Mustang series amps from Fender but I don't understand why they would use a high end name like Mustang on a low end amp. It's also a shame it doesn't have a tube preamp. It probably doesn't need it but it would have been more competitive to have a tube especially if you are forking over serious cash for the head. Just my opinion in the hope that Fender gets back into the low end market as well.

I agree MustangToo....I mean it's not like the Squier line is trash....(they MAY have been back in the days!....but my how they've "grown" up!) I think Fender should do more to promote and market the line...and add to it on a grand scale...from amps to cases...to guitars....basses....even...dare I say it?......effects pedals......

You are both correct about squier amps. We are, obviously, 3 big supporters of the squier movement and as I said before I'd be totally down to purchase a squire boutique type amp but the only hurdle we all face is the fact that there are all of the morons who are scared of the squier name. I have 2 MIMs and just got a squire vm custom tele and my next purcheas will be another squier. We need people to believe in this as much as we do!!!!!

As for the VM series....it's almost "as good as" the real thing....granted it may not have the mojo and vibe of it's "cousins"...but after swapping out the pickups and changing the pickguard on my Tele....you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference when it comes to sound!...

I think the minute a Squier comes out on one of the talent shows like American Idol all hell will break loose with people trying to buy that guitar. It's all perception and exposure. Most shows put tape over brands they don't sponsor and most bands are sponsored to play only one brand.

Maybe it's for the best that the Squire is overlooked by others so we can afford to have them. :D
