Keep checking the Gamesharkstore.com site. They get them in pretty frequently, and first since they have a direct line from Madcatz.

Well I received my guitar yesterday, but we didn't see we needed the Midi controller to connect to our PS3. (They did a really good job hiding the fine print when we pre-ordered from BestBuy back in December.) So I have this really cool guitar, and can't use it for it's intended purpose. -_-;;

Looking for the Madcatz Midi controller, we found no one has them available. But Newegg listed the Madcatz support line on the page! So I called them. After being placed on hold a few times and escalating it to a manger/supervisor, they have no idea when they will receive more. They don't know if it will be two weeks, or 6 months.

I have a guy there emailing Hong Kong to see if he can get me a preliminary date, but I doubt he will be able to get me any info, or it will be against policy to release that info to me. But I'll keep trying.

In the mean time, this is my first electric guitar. What do you recommend for inexpensive connectors/amps/connection devices to be able to start USING this as a guitar?

Thank you.

Has them in stock now for the 360 and Wii. I'm sure they'll go quick. I'm sure the PS3 versions will be back in stock pretty fast. Even when they run out of them it's usually only a week until they get more in.

Still no call back from Madcatz. Called them back myself and had to leave a message for the guy that was helping me last week.

I guess I can count on leaving the Chronicles of Madcatz up here as I attempt to find more information.

I have seen that the wii version is available, but I'm not looking forward to having to buy the game AGAIN, and for a system that doesn't have as good performance as my PS3 in order to use this as intended.

As much as I love this guitar, I'm contemplating returning it as it's not very useful without this accessory. And for the price we paid for it, I could have bought a better guitar AND amp at the same time!

But I'll try to be patient and see if Madcatz can pull something out of the hat. For now.

Anyone else having better luck?

I hope you do too. It's worth the wait even if it takes a little longer though. Good luck.
