Hi, I've just joined looking for info on various new Fender Strats. I currently have a couple of Squier Strats, an old Korean '89 and a '93 (I believe) Japanese one I think was a 'silver series?

This is the Japanese, it currently has a set of Lace Sensors fitted but I'm looking to change it for a new american Fender.

Hi welcome marcos. The Silver Series had a tag saying 'Silver Series' on the nose of the headstock.

Just been looking, yep you're right. So judging by the single string tree and screw placing on the fingerboard (and number of screws) is this a reissue? What wood would the body be?

Most likely alder or basswood. You'd have to look in the neck pocket. Alder has more definitive grain than basswood.
