I purchased this guitar about a month ago. I really like it alot and it plays and has the feel of a Fender Stratocaster. My thing is, the high E string sometimes sounds dull and when played open, has a weird sound to it like it is out of phase. It does it either amped or without an amp. I have new Elixer 10's on it and had a total setup done (intonation, neck relief, action and pickup heigth adjusted), when it was purchased. Is there any thoughts to what can cause this?

Thanks, John

Is it the fat strat? Ive herd great revues about that. You might want to check the bridge for bluffs.

No, it is the SSS pickup configuration. I love the guitar and the pickups sound great. I am not sure what to look for when i check for bluffs at the bridge. Could you explain what i should be looking for, if you don't mind.

thanks, john

Sounds like the string slot may need to shaped or you have not enough string on the tuning peg to create the right string break at the nut. Please post a picture link of the string at all angles if you'd expect to get further help.
