Hello everyone,..i week ago i traded a laptop to a friend for a squire jagmaster. He had it for awhile and, after seeing one and, reading reviews about the guitar, i wanted to get one. well. he came over one day and brought it with him for me to check out. i fell in love with it from the 1st strum lol. kinda reminded me of a mustang i had back in the early 80's mabye i dunno. it says crafted in china on back of headstock but, it seems like its built pretty good so, i dont mind it. lol. and, the sound of it thru either my deluxe reverb or vibro champ amp is excellent too at least to my preferences. so, after stripping strings, and tightening up neck screws and all other screws and polishing, i knew it needed intonating when i 1st played it so, i put new d'addario 9s on it and went about intonation. my prob (?) is that according to fender i harmonic chime string over 12th fret and then note the fret and, adjust saddle till chimed note and fretted note are the same (6 point trem bridge) im using a seiko electronic tuner w/ lcd readout for intonating. i tune open string to center green light pitch. when i chime string it hits right to center too but when i fret the note it will go sharp for second or 2 then center out to green light if i hold note and pluck string again it will stay in center but if i let go and, refret note and pluck, it will go sharp for few seconds then center. i have the low e string saddle as far back as it will go too. am i doing something wrong here? or, is it my tuner. thanx in advance for any responses and sorry bout the long windedness.

Sounds like its pretty close. You could always raise the string a half turn or sand some off the back of the questionable saddle.
