I have no idea how old this is! Does anyone know if this was a limited edition or know any background on the model? (Under the strap of the first picture it says "Jack Daniels"

I just googled it and found that their is another one and they want 36 Pounds for it. My guess is that it is available in Europe as a ginchy american product. When I was in the US Navy I saw a number of confusing products that had american or america in its name like ...American Cigarettes in a box that look like the US flag, I also saw t-shirts at a swap meet type thing that said American trucks on it with a picture of an 18 wheeler. Just like we have images of other countries maybe that makes them think or feel a certain way about us. I have yet to check with Jack Daniels licensed products but my guess is you could probably get one here to.
*edit* I just found at a JD store a Peavey electric guitar and two acoustic guitars so it may have been aquired there.

Thanks for the info... it's certainly worth a lot more to me than 36GBP! :)

I was wondering if it was a limited release that Squier did... I've googled it and found some information but nothing relating to dates etc...

I've had it set up professionally and it plays very well. I put a set of Boomers on it and my Gilmouresque bends are a lot better... in fact the overall sound of the guitar is excellent when I compare it to my Fender Tele and Fender Jaguar...

Hi there, I know this thread is almost ten years old so I'm sorry for being so late on the ball, but I have a Squier Stratocaster with the same Jack Daniel's stickers and I'd love to hear more about this model, what people think of it, how and why it was launched, how much it could be worth, etc., etc.

Personally I won this guitar at a raffle in a student pub in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2003 or 2004. It's 2017 now so I've had it for at least 13 years, played it loads and still really like it! It's a really good guitar and the finish hardly has any wear on it. It seems very well made.

How many of these guitars could be around? What do other people think of them? I'd be interested in hearing pretty much anything related to this model.

Best regards,

Aron Lindblom (Swede living in Guatemala, used to live in Scotland back in the days...).

JD and rock music's certain side have always had a connection, so it ain't a wonder JD celebrated "Jack's birthday" with that guitar - seems it lasted for a month...

The way you got it (promotional pub raffle) was the system used, but I've no idea how many were made. Some sources say it's not for playing, some call it an Affinity.

You might try emailing JD for additional info. BTW, they also sell a bottle of their product packed in a mini guitar box...
