As I'm going through my guitars, I'm looking at my Squiers, playing through them to check the necks. And without a doubt, Between My Squier CV 60's, Esprit Masterbuilt and Stagemaster.. The Stagemaster just beats them all every time.

Of all of my guitars, meaning every single one of them including a Fender '57AVRI and Strat Plus Deluxe, Gibson LP Studio Etc.. This guitar never needs work. It's a 24-fret guitar built rock solid. In 6 years, I've never had to do a truss-rod adjustment on it, and I bought it used off ebay. No defective parts as far as the Bridge, nut, tuners.. No balance issues like the Esprit, Floyd Rose that works without issue, neck-through (set-neck) for comfort. And for some reason cure rock hard.. I have 3 of them, even ran over one with my truck, and it barely made a dent.

24-fret guitars just make things very comfortable in the upper fret-board area. During a time period where "guitar shredding" is everywhere. A lot of kids are into Jackson, Ibanez etc.. 24-fret world. I'm really surprised that Squier didn't join the game this time around. I think they could have done very well by bringing back a similar style of the old HM, Stagemaster, I don't know.. Something along those lines.

Probably just wishful thinking.8)

Yea, I know..

I guess I've just been waiting for something new in the vein of the HM and Stagemaster. What has it been, every 10-years? I'm not THAT knowledgeable on Squiers, but it appears that way. And well.. It's about that time. I'd like to see the Koreans with another 24-fret project. They did a good job with those models. 8)

Shredd, you should look over at rondomusic.com they have long neck 7 and 8 string guitars... Most are pretty cool looking and inexpensive. Rondo is definitely going in that direction.
