During "Googling" of the web for CV 50's Squier Tele I've seen pics that show both the traditional 3-saddle bridge as well as the more modern 6-saddle bridge.

Are the pics mis-labelled or have there been two different versions of the CV 50's Squier Tele?

Thanks

Nope they only have the 3 saddle. The Squier Vintage modified series tele has a 6 saddle though

I have the CV 50's Tele... It is my all time favorite guitar... I have the 60's CV as well and a 60's CV Strat and that 50's Tele is the best of all of them.

I did some upgrades on pickups, tuners and the bridge. I got a compensated brass three saddle tele bridge at www.guitarfetish.com and it works better. It is hard to get the intonation right with only three saddles, so having the compensated saddles makes a huge difference. Plus, it isn't an expensive upgrade. All the parts at Guitar Fetsh are fairly cheap and certainly of good quality. The guy has a gold mine.

Hi tjnugent

Exactly which bridge?

I looked at the site and the compensated Tele bridges seem to only be for USA models. Do they fit the Squier CV models string spacing?

Thanks

What you are looking for is a Wilkenson Compensated Tele Bridge. I found one that is the best price on eBay... but there are other places to buy as well..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 605wt_1139

You can get them at www.stewmac.com
and www.allparts.com

See if that works for you and get back to me.

Thanks,

TJ

Thanks for the info. Fender sure make it difficult having different sizes/measurements depending upon where the guitar is made. Perhaps its because most everywhere except the US no longer uses Imperial measurements.
