The Squier Bullet has a thinner body than the MIM standard. If you look at them side by side this should be visible.

But the necks are about the same spec. Both are the traditional 25.5" scale length (like all the other Strats I can think of other than the Mini) and have a 1.65" nut width.

The Specs at the Squier site list the body material as basswood:

They are "solid" wood, not plywood, but the bodies are likely several pieces. Even the MIM standard Strats are 5-6 pieces of Alder typically.

5 to 6 pieces oh really? I thought guitar bodies are usually made of 3 pieces the most, the joints seem visible esp. on a no finish or sunburst.

Yes, really. Most MIM standards are made up of 5 or more pieces of alder. They use bodies with less pieces for the natural finish guitars (up to a couple of years ago the natural finishes were veneered to look like less pieces).

I think all the current natural finished guitars are the FSR Ash model and I would count them separate from the "standard" Alder models.
