Just thought I'd atart a jagmaster club on here to see what mods people are doing. At the moment I'm moding my 2002 Montego black Jagmaster. Hers's a list of what I've done so far:

Replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncan Phat Cats
Anodized aluminium pickgard
Tele style chrome Vol and Tone knobs
1 Meg pots
Strap locks

future mods

Maple neck and fretboard
Replace bridge and tuners

I'd join, but other than stickers and strap locks, my JagMaster is all stock...

I love mine, it has a nice slim neck which for me is great to play. Got it second hand for £140. I bought the upgrades and had a friend to do the moding for me. Altogether it cost me £370.

it looks really great, you got it for a good price to.

are the bridge's on them a bit lose? Cause my uncles says he'd buy one for himself just that he reckons the bridges are crap quality.

If you use the whammy bar then it does go out of tune easily. I have taken the whammy bar off mine as I don't really use it. Otherwise i seems ok. It can easily be replaced by a higher quality one later. That is why I bought my Jagmaster, to modify it.

Glad you liked playing the Jagmaster. What year was it made and was it a Vista series? Also what stuff did you jam to.
I'm off to Cardiff on Monday to try out a couple of guitars, can't wait!!! I've been selling some old stuff on ebay to try and raise some money. Will let you know what happens. Last time I went I came home with an Epiphone Casino which is AMAZING, real garage rock n' roll, love it. No frills just plug in turn up and play.

I've played Fenders for 41 years. Got my first Strat in 1971.

I bought a used Jagmaster last year for $90.

I love this guitar. I play a lot of surf music and it's a real treat to play. Equal to the sound of my older surf guitars. I'd never mod it...perfect just the way it is for surf.

Great to hear another Jagmaster fan who loves his guitar. I play mainly punk/alternative so moded mne with a set of Seymour duncan Phat cats for that P90 tone. They are great value for money guitars.
