I'm thinking of replacing the tuners on my 02 Jagmaster with Fender vintage split tuners. Will they fit straight on or will I need to change anything? Are the peg holes on Squiers the same as on Fenders? I think the Fender Split tuners are 8mm.

Thanks in advance

P

In the long run, the Ping tuners you have on their now are better than any of the Kluson RI types I know of. Notwithstanding, if you still feel compelled, you will need these conversion bushings:

Thanks for the advice. Gotta say I have no issues with the current tuners on my Jagmsster, just thought I'd upgrade. Looks like you saved me £32, cheers

Personally I disagree with this. Once I went to Vintage split style tuners I never wanted to go back. Mine hold extraordinary tuning and are so much easier/cleaner to restring.

But I do agree that if the current tuners are causing you any issues, there is no need to change them unless you just like the look of vintage tuners.

ok, tanks for all the help. Not gonna change the tuners on my Jagmaster now but will get a set of Vintage split tuners for my Jazzmaster project instead. Any suggestions on what neck I should go for?
