My vintage modified telecaster has two humbuckers on it and they are my first pickups that aren't singles. Can someone tell my about the effects of turning the screws on the top of them. I don't care to experiment and get stuck with a crappy sound, I guess i could photgraph them and then reference it to return it to normal, however I thought i might just ask.

I remember reading at www.stewmac.com that each pole has to be adjusted a certain distance from each string so that is sounds right. If you look at a strat you will see that the middle two are taller than the rest. You can subscribe to trade secrets. It's free.

Please take a measurement of each string to pole hight before you adjust anything.

Good luck and I hope you find that special sound we all seek.
