I have a Squier SE series

http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0301600032

I've been having lots of problems with the low E not staying in tune or having a hard time getting the low E in tune. I had it 'set up' last year but still have problems with it. (changed the strings and all--don't know what strings they put on. It was done at a neighborhood chain called Allegro music. They were pretty nice). Right now it seems not too bad but then all of a sudden, the tune get real bad. It's hard to describe. I'm not sure if it's the strings or the nut or what.

Any suggestions?

How do you do that? I'm electric guitar challenged. Where are the "keys"? How do you tighten the nuts?

If you look at your headstock, there are little hexagons underneaths the posts the strings are wrapped around, tighten that with a little wrench. The keys are the part you turn to tune the guitar. There are little screws in them (they look like plus signs) tighten them with a screwdriver.

Okay thanks. Think I got it. Time to break out the phillips screwdriver and wrench that I got for it.

Okay, one question. For the keys, which screws do I tighten? There are screws on the back of the headstock and ones on top of the keys themselves.

Thanks. I'll try that once I know about the second set of screws.
