Hey Gang, I picked up a New Butterscotch Tele and it getting a makeover. I've got a new set a Fender Vintage Tele Pickups, USA pots and switch. and I'm going to put on a rosewood neck from a Std Squire Tele (until I work over the Maple one) I have gold hardware and a compensated 3-saddle bridge and I will probably make it String-Thru. The gold stuff is from another project Tele that has hit a snag so I may not use them and stay with Chrome. My dilemia is whether to stick with the black pickguard or go with something else. My other project is a tobacco sunburst that I have a redish tortiseshell guard routed for a humbucker I got a few 3 ply white one laying around but they don't excite me much. Any Ideas out there?

Thanks Idaho Red

I personally prefer black on butterscotch, the contrast makes it more appealing to my eyes. If you end up doing the string through body, I'd love to see how you end up drilling for the ferrules.
