500k pots. Probably in an attempt to make the pickups sound more powerful.

Pot size mainly typically tends to be 500k for Humbuckers, 250k for single coils...Jagmasters are great....They started my Squier addiction which did not end until I got 6 more Squiers after my Jagmaster...

What are your concerns about the bridge? Its pretty much just a strat bridge...nothing really to be concerned about...On mine I have the trem block blocked since I don't use it...

Anything is possible, but doing that would probably end up costing you as much as the guitar itself because you would need to fill up some spaces and route some other spaces...I'd just save up for a Jaguar because thats just one of those guitars where there really isn't anything that really comes close, cause its not like a strat, tele, or les paul that there are dozens of clones of...

I got one in a trade for my old Squier Telecaster Special H-S. Needless to say, it's why I bought an actual Jaguar just yesterday.

Nothing comes close to the body contouring on an offest-waist guitar. Not even my Strat. It's an extremely comfortable shape.

Not only that, but the 24" neck scale is awesome for complex chords and lead riffs.

Those two reasons are why I fell in love with Jaguars/Jagmasters. Personally, I can live without humbuckers, so ...

But, yes, you can convert the body over to accept the Jag/Jazz floating tremolo system. You have to plug all of the routings for the Strat trem and rout a new hole for the spring on the underside of the Jag trem assembly. Then I would suggest a new finish to hide all of the surgery needed for the conversion.
