T Ihavehank you. It seems i have a 1999 suier tele standard, In sherwood green, maple board. String through, six barrel saddles. The only thing i dont like is the pick guard, now its mint green kind of clashes with the body, imo. Thinking about mop guard? Ideas any one?. Also duncan bridge, and mini j.b. in the neck. What do u all think? Also anyone know what the body wood is?.

That's what I found so far.
http://www.harmony-central.com/Events/W ... odels.html

I was thinking about a Tele project myself, later this year:
- neck: GFS Fat mini humbucker
- bridge: GFS lipstick
- GFS Tele pickguard custom cut for mini humbucker
- reverse control plate

- passive overdrive

I put a set of GFS lipsticks on a Strat and I totally love it, that's why I want to continue using them. Plus they're great value for money.
If you want to check them out - http://store.guitarfetish.com/index.html.

Change of plans on the pups, Just found a seymor duncan hot rail at the pawn shop, brand new in the box for 40.00 with tax, so i will try that in the neck, keep the bridge pup and get a 5 way switch so i can run it like a nashville tele. with the mop pick guard hows that sound? any one know of problems i might encounter? thanks. btw if it dosnt work with the tele, i have a ibanez rx 60 i can use it in, so im not out the money for the new pup.

The Hot Rail is one high output ceramic pup. http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/e ... ils_for_t/
Unless you plan to play a lot of metal, it might not be very suited for other styles.
Also, it might be unbalanced with the bridge.
But it's worth a shot; if you like it, everything's fine.

I have Hot Rails in my Squier Tele, both rear and front (Hot Rails Strat, as it was before there was a HR Tele neck).

Great for high-gain use, but through the right amp, also great for blues/rock. I used to run mine through a ADA MP-1 preamp, but now run it through my Bandmaster and accompanying pedalboard.

On both of my Hot rails, I also had push/pull pots installed so that I can have them as humbuckers or essentially single coils - adds to the guitar's versatility but looks stock, and the push pull are cheaper than the very cool S1 Fender switches.

Duncan also make a Cool Rails version as well.

Most duncans also have a 30-day trial period so you can see if you like or get money back - I'd check as you're buying though to make sure.
