Just picked it up at GC. Ordered it online and shipped to the store. Brought it home, opened the box and instantly noticed a pretty large chip on the corner of the pickguard at the neck pocket, and on the other side of the neck pocket, a small, maybe 1 cm chip in the wood, it looks like the paint is holding the chip on. I love the guitar, plays real nice and sounds good. Would you guys return it for these blems? I know it is only a 230 dollar guitar, but it is my 230 dollars, I think I might return it and have them orderr me another one..Any opinions??[img]ImageImageImage[/img]

Can we see a picture of the whole guitar? Congrats on your tele but sorry about the damage. They should fix it without a problem.

I'd return it, or at very least try to get some money back if you like how it plays. Regardless of price, a new guitar should be in new condition.

Return it man...If you bought it from GC, return it to get it replaced, or see if you can get them to give you some money back now, and not credit towards your next purchase or some crap.

Replacement came in yesterday..I have to say, I am so F'in impressed with Guitar Center and Squier for a $@!&#* situation that turned out awesome!!. The second Standard Black and Chrome Tele got delivered in a double box, with no markings on the outside box, and the regular kinda triangular box guitars normally shipped with inside, totally insulated with paper and foam fillers. I had it delivered to the Guitar Center store again just in case it was F'ed up again.(It's only a mile from work!)and we took the guitar out of the box at the store, and it was perfect!!!to say the least!!!This 230 dollar guitar has just about the sweetest neck I have ever played!!I don't know if when GC called for a replacement that someone actually checked this one out, and set it up(I doubt it!!)but, the fret ends actually feel better than my MIM Strat, totally filed perfectly!! , absolutely no sharp edges whatsoever!!and the neck is as straight a neck as I have ever seen!!!It plays like butter!!!Action is super low and slightly,I mean slightly buzzes on frets 2 and 3 if picked real hard, but otherwise makes no buzzing all the way up and down the neck. My Gibson Les Paul VM I had last year could not get this kind of action without buzzing like mad!I was planning to change out the P'ups, before I actually had it , to GFS lil punchers, but to tell you the truth, these Alnico SC's actually sound damn fine and am gonna keep this baby stock, except for a new set of strings and a set of roller string trees. Better pics to follow,I am in a Bud Light buzz right now!!!Tomorrow I will take better pics!!!:):)Image

Glad to hear it got worked out...As far as the buzzing on the 2nd and 3rd fret, I would give the guitar sometime to get acclimated to your house/local environment before I would worry about it as things might settle in once that happens...

Glad things were worked out for you. As mentioned in another post, let it get used to your particular climate for a week or so, if the buzzing persists, take it to a shop for a proper set-up. The guitar looks nice. Congrats on the purchace.
