I have some problems with rattling lower e string and a string.
Also the tremolo springs makes alot more noise then i like. I will block the tremolo on it.
I guess i need to change the strings and get it setup properly but since this is my first electric guitar im gonna get some help with that from a friend this weekend. anything suggestion on what i can try myself before that?

I do like it a lot i but I dont have any refrence to compare it to but it feel very easy to play compared to other (crap) strats i tried.

If you are having problems with it and it is a new guitar, I would take it right back to the store I got it from and either have them properly set it up (for free) or ask for a replacement. No guitar should have a "rattle" on any string. The tremolo springs are another story. That is just the way they are. Even blocking the tremolo is not going to take care of that, unless you are going to remove the springs after blocking the trem.

I have a Highway 1 Stratocaster and a CV 60 Stratocaster. Both are excellant guitars. I do not have any issues with either of them. My CV 60 is a great back up guitar for my Highway 1. I have no problems deciding which one to play as both of them are very fine instruments.

Unless your friend is very experienced with guitars, I would not recommend you guys monkeying around with it, at least not until you are more comfortable with basic set-ups and modifications.

Let me suggest you look here to learn some basics on basic set-ups and adjustments for your new guitar.

I absolutely love my CV 60 Stratocaster and also like the CV 50 Strats. I have a 3 tone sunburst on mine and do not care for maple necks on guitars with bursts.

He is really experienced with setting up guitars he used to work at a music stores guitar department I so trust him with doing a setup on the guitar and putting on new strings.

Also why i let him do it and dont go back to the stores is becuase it's bought online from Germany and i live in Sweden. It was over $100 cheaper then my home town and it took 2 weeks for them to deliver it so prefer to get it fix here in town.

About the tremolo just what suspected.

thx for youre advice.

Just a real quick $.02 worth...

Any time you have a guitar shipped to your door, expect to have a setup done. A guitar can be setup perfectly at the factory and it may or may not be checked at the place where you bought it from but most of the time, shipping is pretty rough on a guitar and will typically throw things out of whack.

That said, I would also ask how different is the weather in Sweden where you are from Germany? If we're talking radical temperature or humidity differences, I would suggest waiting a week or two before having the guitar setup to allow the guitar to "acclimate" to it's new environment otherwise the setup is going to be pretty pointless.

Good Luck,
Jim
