A good friend of mine came to me to ask the value of a squier bullet 1 he has. He is going to sell it on ebay but wants to know how much he could get. I did some research but could only find that it was made in Japan or Korea in the 80's. The serial number is E605139. He is in really deep financial trouble and I might buy it. It's in decent shape. Thanks for your help!

I'd say 100-200 bucks. There is one on Guitar Center.com that has been sitting for months and it is priced at 139 IIRC

I'm forced to concur with Yogi...give or take scratches and dings, it's probably not worth more than around $200 on the high side. It's not that these are bad guitars by any means...in fact the imports of this era tend to have a reputation as being pretty decent instruments. It's just that these don't have a high resale value at all.

This particular guitar is actually kind of interesting from the stand point that it kind of looks like a cross between a Contemporary Strat and a Tele...you don't really see a lot of these around and that would be a really good selling point for your friend. -If- the guitar is in truly in very good shape he (she) might be able to push that price up to around $250 but I wouldn't count on much more than that. Also, if your friend does decided to sell it on Ebay, I would certainly set a reserve price as well...maybe around $125 - $140 or so, so that someone doesn't walk away with it for $50.

Just my $.02 worth,
Jim
