Man I've seen the pic's of the new Classic Vibe Thinline and man do I want one now. 8) It's a crime that they lead us on like this and make us wait for months for it to hit the stores. I am on the e-mail list when they arrive at American Musical Supply. Now I just have to come up with what I gonna tell the wife? Gee honey look at what I won on the radio. Humm.

why would you want to? The necks are the best part of the CV series IMO

Yes The Squire and Fender necks are the same dim's But I tend to agree with Yogi That the CV necks are a Big part of their popularity. As a matter of fact I have a neck off a butterscotch affinity on my nashville tele that is really nice. Yes I had to spend a little time on the frets (1 1/2 hr) but I could not beat the price. The only weak link I've seen on the Squires has been the tuners and that has only been on the affinity series or bullets. I think I would play the heck out of it first. :D

Its kind of hard to say that when you haven't played one yet. The CV necks are nothing like my other Squiers necks and feel just as Comfortable as my American and Custom Shop guitars

i have played CV necks ( we have 5 at the local shop) i was supprised at how comfortable they were compared to normal squiers, yet IMO they still werent as comfortable as my Fenders.

The Squier necks are only made with the modern C profile. American Fender's are available in C, U, soft V, and Vintage V profiles. That may be the comfort your talking about. Some prefer the U over the C Some love the V and others can't stand them. We won't even get into the Maple versus Rosewood debate. I like maple and thats why I put a Squier neck on a Nashville. Life is Great!!! 8)
