Post subject: tom delonge strat

can i turn in squire strat into a tom delonge strat. i know i would change the pick guard and pickups, but what about the electronics, where can i get that or do i just use the ones on the squire and ignore the tone componits.

That guitar is out of date....the sound is very limited and you can only do so much with it....go check out the seymour duncan site for the single humbucker diagram..if all fails i have a black single humbucker pickgaurd laying around with a Delong squier detonator humbucker ....if you want it for dirt cheap..

You can still reuse the 500k volume pot.

the only problem with buying those two pieces is that if you look hard enough, some people are selling the full strat for the same price, or even cheaper. I found a seafoam green one on ebay for 100 bucks..

but it all depends on where you look..
