This is good news to me too. I've already got my Squire but gotta wait till Christmas. Man i cant freakin wait. Till then I can only go to my cousins house and play his guitar. :?

I'm in the same boat. Well, except that none of my cousins own guitars. :)

The salesman did say I could go to the store and play it any time I wanted though as my wife made me put it on layaway until Xmas.

BTW, I originally planned on getting an Epiphone that someone returned and was on sale. The salesman convinced me to play the Standard Strat irregardless of my decision. Needless to say the Strat just felt better to me, more ergonomic I guess. And the Cherry sunburst finish is just fantastic.

I just can't wait for Xmas.

I hope you enjoy it man. Squires get a bad rep cos of the price but they are the best entry level guitars out there and some of them have amazing quality. Thats the beauty of Fender. They have a whole range for everyone.

Happy jammin.

i new i was getting my squier 3 months before. I know the wait that you guys are in....but when you get it you'll relise that they're almost the same as fender's really. Oh, good choice for the buy. Ive got an epiphone sg aswell as the squier, even though i play the sg alot cos i just got it about 2 weeks ago, the squier is better in many ways.

I'm wanting a Squier Custom Tele II w P90s..Blonde..I hope my wife gets if for me..lol. I have a Fender Hwy 1 and am wanting this Squier because of the P90s but I still love my "Brown Eyed Girl" Hwy 1 Sunburst similar to my icon.

The SG is a great guitar and a little more affordable than the Les Paul. In my case the strat was less expensive and what I have been reading a little easier to mod.I just can't wait for Xmas this year.

Yes your right, the SG is an amazing guitar, gives off many difrent sounds and the necks very comfotable and the list goes on forever. But, I dunno if its cause the squier was my first, but somehow I seem to think that the squier is better and "powerfuler" in a way. What finish is it gonna be?
