I have a Classic Vibe 60. I have to admit that this is a great guitar and gets as much play as my HWY 1 Strat. I do not want to change any of the electronics or the tuners.

Back story:

I did not like the tortise shell pick guard, so I replace it and the accessaries and three ply white pickguard with parchment white accessaries. I am now not liking the color change...too bland. I was considering a white pearloid pickguard with black accessaries...but I have already did that to my HWY 1. I am now considering a black pearloid pickguard and keeping the white accessaries.

I fear that my cosmetic eye has lost it's touch since my last masterpiece. Can anyone else think of a good color combination with a 3 tone sunburst body with a rosewood neck? I already have vintage white accessaries and white parchement accessaries. I am not above changing to another color all together. Also looking for a new pickguard color, but nothing over the top.

Personally, i can't stand
those Pearloid pickguards.

I think the 60's would look too sexy for words w/
a 3-ply B/W/B guard & white knobs/pickup covers.

But that's just me.

Unfortunately, there just aren't a whole lotta choices when it comes to that. I usually favor all black. But when I bought my CV '60s, I just decided to leave it alone. I don't mind it. It's the only guitar I have with that color scheme.

Here's a least an idea of what it would look like in all black. I also usually ditch traditional Fender knobs with the numbers on them. Only my '57AVRI, Strat Plus, and CV '60's still have them. Just want to keep with the tradition on those.

Anyway.. here's a pic of my Hamer in all black:
