This was my first electric guitar. Got it in 07, works perfectly fine. I let my uncle decide what guitar I'd be getting, seeing that he's a guitar freak. He gave me a little play of that one in a guitar shop and I was hooked. We ended up getting it about 2 weeks later, plus my first amp, a fender frontman 15g.
It's gotta few dints unfortunatley, from the music camp that I went to. Its cleaned once or twice a week, I've replaced the strings a couple of times. The current ones I've got are JVB heavy matel strings, which are quite thick compared to my first ones.
The body's a good, comfotable shape too. The top dip is just where my right arm usually goes, an it's got a little curve at the back for it to rest against while your playing.
The only problem that I find is that you cant get up to the 17th+ fret without struggling. It's bolt on neck so there's this big "block" where the bolts are. But other than that, I really really really like it :D

Actually the big block cannot be helped on Squier/Fender Guitars. Some models have a slight curve on this blocky area, but not standard on all guitars. There are guitar companies that have set necks. The cut away (lower horn) allows for the access of the frets closer to the pickups. Try playing an acoustic guitar past the 12- 14th frets without the cu tout, now thats hard.

I am glad you like your guitar. Keep playing.

I know, it's a bit of a pitty isn't it. Cause I tend to do a lot of solo's that I just randomly make up, alot of them are 17th feet+. When I'm doing those solo's I normally use my SG. They should make the necks part of the body, like the ibanez iceman.
I have tried playing on acoustic above 12th fret, bloody oath its hard!
