would it be possible to put a set of emg-sa active pickups in a squire strat? :?: would i have to take it to a professional?

Welcome!

It is possible and is done all the time.

As to having to take it to a professional, it depends on how handy you are with basic hand tools and soldering. If you aren't that well acquainted with hand tools and above all, not all that good at soldering, than yes, I'd positively have a professional do the installation.

but if you do by yourself, take a look below the cap of the pickup before mountin on the pickguard. Last week changing the originals of an Affinity to Texas Special, a staple of the plastic bag of components, taking contact in the pickup below the cap, and it broked it!! damm staple. No resistance.

Results. a Texas Special pickup bridge broken. Biding in ebay for a replace.
