An incredible guitar for the money!
With proper setup, it is fantastic! I mostly use the neck pickup, but I do use all combinations. I wired the bridge pickup to the second tone control and thus left the middle one without the tone. I like more bass, so the bridge pickup is too bright for me. And I only play single coils, humbuckers are too hot. I guess you could say I'm a strat guy! I need the tone control for the bridge pickup to reduce it a little. But, still I prefer the neck pickup. The middle is not as bright as the bridge of course, so I use only volume to control it.[/img]

welcome NorthEastSouthWest to the forums. you will find lots of people around here with loads of info on guitars. ya, but like russianracehorse said dont hate on squiers. i dont own a squier ( im more of an american / mexican guy) let a person form their own opinion on their guitar. because it really is theirs and it is all about personal preference and what they think feels good.

thanks man. personally i like mia's better. mim's are great guitars in their own right but like someone on here said before you get what you pay for. but like i said personal prefrence, you should play both and see which one feels best to you. you can also look into getting a used mia so you can save a little money and still get a great guitar (if its in good condition). they always have lots of threads on mia v mim around the forum so look around and you will see there are lots of different opinions on this topic.
