I'm a bassist of 2 years don't plan on stoppig ever. But now after to years I find my self playing my band mates guitar's with envy. So my next purchase I make will be an electric guitar with a little amp and maybe a little multieffects pedal. For under 400$ I hope. The guitar I like I saw at my music store it was a strat with a excelent finish and I was amazed to see it was a squier not a fender!
Any way I think it was a squier standard strat. What do you guys think of that guitar? And how bout the tele standard? My preference is a tele with a maple neck for like 300$ witch guitar would that be. An is te tele or the strat better?
Tell me what you think. Will

neither guitar is better than the other, it is all about personal prefrences. i think a squire standard series would be a great guitar for you or anyone who wants to learn to play. i have heard they are very high quality instruments and you will be very happy with your purchase. that said, you can also buy a mexican fender strat or tele ( which in most cases is better than squire) used for $200-$300.

In this day and age Fender/Squier does not mean a thing (at least not to me). Both are really good guitars. Stratocaster vs Tele is a little different. Both are different animals. It really depends on which type of music you are in to, what the guitar pickup configuration is, ect... Play both guitars to see which one is best for you.

If you are a bassist, more than likely the Stratocaster with a HSS pickup configuration will appeal to you as far as feel and tone.

I have a Squier Standard Stratocaster with a maple-on-maple neck and couldn't be happier. Only cost $199.99 new. They're going for $219.99 at most on-line stores now.

The best thing to do, if its possible, is for you to go out there and try as many different types and brands of guitars that you can and pick whatever you think is best, because after all, you're going to play it. If thats not possible, order from someplace with a decent return policy. Especially because I cannot stand Strats, and prefer Teles, but that does not mean that one is better than the other, I just have some personal preferences as to why I prefer a Tele over a Strat, which might not be issues or reasons to choose one over the other for you. I'm talking about the bridges, knob placement, PU configs, personally for me, a Tele has what I am looking for, and more importantly, feels more comfortable to me. But since I am not you, and you are not me, its up to you to decide whats best for you....

I suggest you buy an entry level guitar(dean, warwick, jackson, squier, yamaha, etc.)

but considering the looks, the hardware and the feel all along, squier bullet strat is a sure deal.but dont get your mind thinking twice cause you can ask people here who owns one and i do think that nobody hates theirs.(im a proud owner too  )

then you can buy a 15/30 watt amp.I suggest you buy those alien korean brands(theyre the only ones that come with overdrive/distortion and again,Im a proud owner of one too)

good luck on your purchase!

dnt hesitate to ask for anythng aryt
