Hello,
I was reading Guitar Players' review about this guitar and I'm curious about it.
Anyone here ever play one or own one?
I'm curious about the overall tone since they're made of pine.
I've always loved tele's but never owned one. I played a new squier tele last year and couldn't believe how easy it was to play!
Any input would be welcome!
Thanks.

I think the Custom Shop is planning on releasing some new models in pine later this year. I remember reading something about it in the Ask Mike Eldred forum.

I'd just bought a 2nd hand Tele, but then saw the Squier Classic Vibe in my local store. Picked it up out of cuiousity..

It was the best playing guitar I've ever had in my hands. It also sounds great - real vintage Tele sounds - looks superb and all on a budget price that was less than I paid for my 2nd hand Tele. If I'd seen the Squier first it would have been game over.

I'm still thinking seriously about going back for it, even now 4 weeks later

Don't forget the affinity butterscotch blond telecaster. They're really great although the pu switch is flimsy

Great pics! 8)

I played a guy's for a few songs at a jam and it felt and played a lot better than I expected.

I'll bet it sounds great with that vintage Ampeg?

I absolutely love my cv 50's tele.....I'm more of a strat player... but I've been getting into playing country guitar alot more.... and ohhh god.... plenty of bang for your buck with these suckers.... I have no complaints about it... except the pickup selector switch seems a little flimsy.... but that's a cheap fix anyways..... the tuners are even excellent.... I've had this guitar for 2 weeks now... and I play it about 4-5 hours a day doing ALOT of bends.... I swear I have not had to tune it once.... and it's even been thrown in the back seat of my car and out in the cold a few times.... I can't believe it hasn't fallen out of tune lol

I have had mine for about two months now and even bought a Champion 600 amp to go with it. As far as playing it is a Tele thru and thru tone is awesome with lots of twang on the bridge pickup and playability is great. I actually like it as good or a little better, depending on my mood, than my mim standard strat. All in all a cool guitar IMO. Sounds great through the Champion 600 with a Boss Overdrive pedal for added coolness! Hope this helps. 8)
